According to SC: The NCAA and SC investigated Mayo before and during his time at SC. If this is true, SC should have nothing to worry about.
The world of college basketball is extremely corrupt because of AAU and shoe companies, if ESPN wanted, they could find a story like this at every school (how do you think Memphis gets all there players?). That being said, Floyd has shown to take short cuts and risks in recruiting and continues to walk a fine line with players such as Sidney. |

when OJ was being recruited. When an agent-friend-advisor guy is the head liaison between you and a star player, you should probably triple guess it. Floyd
didn't and now he and the school/program are going to pay dearly. It's a real shame because I don't think SC did anything wrong.

it said the payments had been going on for several years. OJ was only here for a year. If it's true that we/NCAA checked into Guillory and crew, we should
be ok in that we obviously made efforts to make sure things were on the up and up. dont see how you hold that against the school. you cant tell me other kids
at other schools arent getting some clothes paid for. the NCAA knows all about these agent types and runners yet allow all the NIKE type camps, etc. what do
they think is going to happen? i say it goes away.

I certainly hope you are right, and | #8

...I have a feeling that the Bush and Mayo things--if in a vaccum--would end up in nothing happening to USC, one wonders if the NCAA will now try to say
"lack of institutional control." What I really hope is that Guillory never bought season tickets or attended some sort of USC trojan club dinner in
which he donated $20 to the school or something that would cause that NCAA to view him as a booster.

Guillory... | #9 | ||

would know better than that.
I doubt the NCAA does anything, because my guess is that if they did, USC would sue the NCAA. |

It the proof holds up I think we can expect something, maybe self imposed | #10

All good that everyone had a look before he came in but if the NCAA declares him ineligable then institutional control is an issue.
