He was the type of individual that I held out as the type of young man I want USC sports to epitomize. He was the type of individual that I hold up to my sons as an example of how to comport themselves.

You could not watch his effort, hustle, demeanor, heart and desire without truly liking and admiring him.

You could not hear an interview of him or a story about him that didn't warm your heart.

Knowing how much I will miss just seeing him play basketball without ever personally knowing him, I cannot imagine the heartache and pain of his family and friends.

My heart truly goes out to them in this difficult time.
