It's only 10 minutes in, but we are looking more and more like a Charlie Parker team each time I watch this season.

Taj was surrounded all night. The Dons played decent defense on him. Our point guard play is the problem. If you listened to Hackett afterward he admitted as
much, that he really isn't a point guard, that is is practicing hard and will get there. Some mention was made to new teammates that may be causing some of
the turnovers. I would say we could have used 2 of the Dons guards in our line up. Donte had a bad game and couldn't handle the opposing player. This team
can grow and play well in conference. But yes we are back to being short handed again. It seems like that is the story of SC hoops. 5 to 7 deep and steep fall
off.
For those that know - what are the point guard recruiting plans? thanks |

trojanlee wrote: Your right their defense was decent - but the problem was more our spacing and offensive execution. The double came from the weak side (the opposite of the court), thus the player on the weak side should have been the most dangerous player with crisp passing. Many times the ball would rotate to that player and 1) he wouldn't be ready to shoot or 2) he held it too long allowing the rotating defense to adjust back to their zone again. If you noticed in the 2nd half , USC started to use skip passes, taking advantage of them over playing Taj.
