Tis the season and the number of women transferring from and to various college BB programs is unprecedented. In the PAC 10, we saw the exodus of several at UW, followed by more at U of A, and now UCLA and USC players are joining in. Transferring has signigant ramifications for the player and both teams. The transfer solution seldom works out as anticipated. Nevertheless, we wish Morghan the best of luck playing in the Lone Star state.

USC needs outside shooters and Corrall and Gilbreath, incoming recruits vied for teh McDonald's 3 points shooting title, with Corrall edging Gilbreath. Next year we add 4 McDonalds All Americans, these two, plus Gemelos and the older Gilbreath. Mark Trakh is doing a great job.

Two finalists in the McDonald's All-American three point shooting contest were our very own Briana Gilbreath and Ashley Corral, with Ashley just edging out Bri by three . . . Check out our girls in action in the McD All-American High School Girls' game on Wednesday, March 26th . . live on ESPNU at 4 pm (7 pm EST). The Boys' game is live on ESPN at 6:30 pm (9:30 pm EST).

Today's PowerAde Jam Fest will be telecast on Tuesday, March 25th on ESPN2 at 8:30 pm...

As the highest seeded Pac 10 team not receiving a NCAA bid USC received an automatic bid to the women's NIT. Repeating it's decision of last year USC declined the opportunity to give it's women student athletes postseason experience. It declined the bid. No Pac 10 team will be playing the the WNIT this year. Teams from every other major conference will be playing in the WNIT. Multiple bids went to conferences like the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, ACC, Big East. Schools accepting bids...

Is there really hope that this program is headed in the right direction? We've gone from tournamnet probables to an absolute study in moppishness. Is mediocrity really what we strive for here? We made a nice tournamnet run a few years back & I assumed things would only improve. Since then, we have won f*ck all. I'm sure I'll be blasted for this post, but a nice run against UCLA & perpetual use of the "injury" excuse onlt gets you so far.

We may say what we want, but imagine MT meeting the press following last night's loss to Arizona and conducting himself in this manner. This ranting and raving must be a Big 10 thing. WOT BB lost to UM in a lopsided game back in December. Today our two teams have similair records and would be considered bubble teams for the tournament.
