Taj got the start against Lebron & Co. tonight on TNT. The announcers have been washing his balls so far. Talking about how good of a defender he is. Talked about Floyd being his coach. Said the Bulls say he's the most developed defender they've had in a rookie in a LONG time. Mentioned he was from SC, Pac-10 defender of the year, etc. He's hitting his mid-range jumper and looks very solid.

Evan Smith....first saw him play as 10th grader in the Galen Center at MIDNIGHT against the likes of OJ Mayo (PRO), TAJ (PRO), DANIEL (PRO IN EUROPE) and several other much older players. Smth, vuckvec, washington, and gerrity did not play. overall, that was a good thing. The guys coming off the bench and players that needed playing time played the entire game.

Evan Smith: Intense, goes full speed all the time, will kill for the ball, good touch in shooting. Will play and will help.

how do you like the recruiting for 2010 and 2011 so far. Do you think it has suffered? It seems to me that both the 2010 and 2011 classes are shaping up nicely, but my knowledge is not nearly as complete as yours. To your knowledge, how rigid is the mandate, ie, is it to skip the great player who has character issues, or the great player who has good character but border line grades. Anu guidance you can give is greatly appreciated.

Anyone else see these two go at it Friday night? I only caught a few moments, but at the end of the first half, DeMar came out of nowhere and swatted OJ's shot. Kind of a cool moment to have two SC guys getting quality minutes against one another. And even cooler is that Taj, a truer Trojan IMHO, is getting serious playing time with Chicago.
